FREE MEDICAL CAMPS
Frontier Foundation in collaboration with Tanzeem Lissail Walmehroom, a
welfare project of provincial government conducted a series of free medical camps. Frontier Foundation Welfare Services executed the project in 11 districts successfully. The objective of the project was to provide free medical facility, i.e. consultation, treatment, medicine, diagnostic and referral to the people in the community. The activity was undertaken in the remote areas of NWFP, where health facilities are scarce. About 17599 men, women and children were provided health facility at their doorsteps. In the second phase of the project Frontier Foundation executed 81 free medical camps in about 15 districts of NWFP. Where more than 23000 men, women and children were thoroughly examined and provided health facility at their doorstep. About 1500 laboratory tests were conducted in the mobile laboratory of Frontier Foundation. 91 patients were found suffering from acute diseases, were referred to nearby district hospital for complete treatment.
