It is worthwhile to mention here that the Foundation besides providing whole blood has been the pioneer within the province of NWFP for provision of blood products like RBC concentrates, WBC and Platelets concentrates. It has also realized by us that awareness and counseling to prevent genetic blood disorders like Thalassaemia will also play an important part in the future decrease in the caseload of these chronic disorders and the Counseling Services at the centers are an important source of information to the afflicted patients and their next of kin.
